The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their separate journey, separate from the additional parties.
This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might look mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, above the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each member has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could assist the party enter places they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the clan.
This means them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
